Sand is good for looks and fishes. Problem is if you have a large population of fishes. Rather than sea sand, i suggest to use river sand if you have fresh water tank. Take boiling hot water and put the sand in that bucket with some rock salt. Do it 2-3 times. All germs and bacteria would be gone.
